'I was involved in all aspects of planning and management of South American projects. In a particular project I had the overall field responsibility for the co-ordination of over 1000 employees, 8 helicopters, 2 fixed wing aircraft and an assortment of river craft. This work involved budgeting, planning, labour retentions and feeding and housing for seismic exploration in the Amazon basin.
